My microphone is not working.i chkd it on my sys with new pair with the same result.any help ?

i checked the settings and also tested in yahoo call setup,it ped the test but it dint light up wen i spoke.i even reinstalled my driver with no avail..any suggestions??my speker and head phones have no problem though
