Why is John McCain friends with criminals like Oliver North?

McCain has resorted to criticizing Obama for his "ociation" with Bill Ayers, but what about McCain's FRIENDSHIP with Oliver North, a guy who sold weapons to Iran, our enemy! The proceeds of these arms sales went to the Contras who killed tons of people. So Oliver North is indirectly responsible for the deaths of many people. Not only that, but he is a traitor to America by selling weapons to our mortal enemy. The guy would be rotting in prison if Reagan hadn't pardoned him. So how can McCain ociate with this sbag?? How do Conservatives justify this man as a good man?? He is s. Worse than Ayers in my opinion.
