Scarlet Letter Project: Amusement park ride for the story's resolution?
In my English cl, I read the Scarlet Letter. Our project is to come up with metaphorical rides that represent the five elements of literature in the book. I'm stuck on the story's resolution. For those of you who havn't read this novel, its basicly about a woman named Hester who has an affair with (SPOILER ALERT!) Reverand Arthur Dimmsdale who doesnt reveal his identity as a sinner until the end (aka, the resolution!) Hester's husband devotes his life to making Dimmsdale guilty for his sins. Hester is made to wear a scarlet letter A on her dresses as punishment. She had a child named Pearl. Anyways, so this guy is dying until the end of the book. The resolution is Dimmsdale goes on the scaffold where Hester stood awaiting her sentence for punsishment seven years before in guilt. He confesses to the public he is Pearl's father. He dies on the scaffold and a year later Hester's exhusband does too. SO, i need an amusment park ride idea that would be metaphorical for Dimmsdale's confession and the two men's deaths. Any ideas? Thanks!
